It's been a little crazy... made an offer on a short sale in Henderson, welcomed our friends' dog 'Diesel' into the family, went to a reunion at my mom's in Laguna, and had 2 weeks+ of Sloan's family's reunion here in Provo. Tyler & Sara had a baby girl named Riley, I'm 34 weeks prego, and Aja is now expecting too!
Here's the house
It was built in 2001, has 3 bedrooms with an extra room at the top of the stairs and a den off the kitchen. The white tile floors aren't my first choice and the walls need painting (etc.), but we were thrilled to find something this great in our price range and felt good about moving forward on it. Praying now that the banks will get things closed for us before the baby comes.
Here's the dog
Our buddies Katie & Mike are still in New Zealand and need us to watch him till they come home (next year?). He's a miniature Schnouzer and doesn't shed, super-obedient, and patient with Ruthie. Sloan's a fan:
And a flag burning ceremony at Macey's
The boy scouts collect all the old, frayed flags from the community that are no longer fit to fly and burn them. Being away from the States has made my heart soft for all things patriotic. I'm not a easy crier, but this 4th of July I cried at every event... flag burning, Provo parade, the Freedom Days festival, etc. I love this country.
Here's Reunion #1 at my mom's
Family photo with 3 of Ken's 4 kids. And Ponyo, the Eyre's chicken (good thing he was color coordinated!). Minus Tyler who was taking care of his new baby, Riley, in Pheonix...
swimming at the country club
water balloon fights at the park
badmitton in the backyard
could she be more American?
Sunday we drove to San Diego and crashed the Nielsen's family reunion for a night. Bonfire on the beach & fun with cousins on the pier
And the World Cup with a Snuggly and Coke in the morning.
Definitely on vacation!
We loved visiting with my mom who is always the ultimate hostess and managed to get back to Utah (loaded with 8 people and a chicken in the Eyre's station wagon) just in time for the Robison reunion...
