Stars, Stripes & Swimmin

Fourth of July
Boulder City Damboree Parade with our ward friends

Reg getting teased with the Fun dip

Mission Hills Festival

Ruthie was the only one of us who remembered to bring money. She'd been earning allowance by doing chores and saved up 5 whole dollars.  Guess how much the Zippy cost?  Dad was starving and was drooling over the concessions, but Ruthie wanted a zippy ride...

so did Reg. but you don't grind the wheat, you don't eat the bread! sorry bud

Ruthie had no regrets

gotta do a few sparklers

We put Reg to bed and walked up to the corner of our street to watch the Henderson Fireworks go off just a few blocks away. Perfect!

Then we we soooo lucky to have the Eyres stop by on their mainland tour to see us!
We started our visit at Town Square on July 5

Did some blobbin

Had a HS reunion get together at Mission Hills Park

Mike Garone & Brad Scow

The Chatwins

after baseball, we smooched at the splashpad

got naked

and sucked on ice cubes

and a few more swings

the babes got along so great...  we were relieved because Elsie & Ruthie are so not compatible.  These two loved chasing each other around, staring & poking at each other.  Once and a while they'd be stingy

busted

home from bike ride with sloan

Swimming at the Krahenbuhl's

wedgie!  Ana's such a great cousin.
She is always so sweet to Ruthie and helpful to everyone. Our dream is to someday live next door to these guys...

cliff jumping off the 10' waterfall!  just missed Ruthie's flip

Aja & Jamie

The last night, we invited Shannon & Tyler over for FHE

Aja taught an awesome lesson about putting on the armor of God

sibling rivalry continues!

to ease the pain of their absence, we went on a little family date to Nacho Daddy

Reg getting into the hot salsa again

and the Pet Shop

Also that week was the National Synchronized Swimming Championship only a few miles away from us at Heritage Park.  We went a couple days and felt so lucky to be there!

the US Olympic duet team did their routine for us, it was beautiful!  made me tear up.  can't wait for the Olympics to start

and that night we invited ourselves to the Chapmans to swim

This is random, but I got these little chairs for the kids and Reg carries one of them all over the house so he'll always have a comfy Reg-sized seat.  One morning I was doing the dishes and he parked it right behind me. Love having a little side-kick

We put Ruthie in swim lessons at Wells Pool and traded off taking Reg in for kicking lessons

BMI pool

Ruthie's a little dare devil!  Jumped off the diving boards for 2 hours straight

Last day of swim lessons with the Chapmans... crazy hair day

does this pass for a mohawk?

Yes Yes and YES! I love it all except it makes me miss you guys sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much and wish you were travelling all over with us... Little Smokey is totally worth it though. He's going to be awesome. I can tell by how huge your belly is going to get next month.

Thanks for the perfect visit to LV. Can't wait to do it again!
