turkey on the run

We spent Thanksgiving at my mom's in Dana Point, CA. She & Ken have rented out their house in Coto and moved to their 2 bedroom condo close to the beach.  We were getting attached to fancy Coto de Caza, but Dana Point is lovely too.  Fun to explore a new place.

and our annual 'turkey on the run' scavenger hunt...

a little west side story to add to the drama

 we hid about 8 clues and ruthie was so scared and thrilled- there was no doubt in her mind the turkey left the trail of clues (i wrote them with my left hand to make them especially turkey-like)...

but in the end, we found him in the oven, all ready to gobble up...

thanks Luvie and Ken for another wonderful visit...  the bike rides, swimming, muppets, and treating us to a night out. We love you and can't wait to come visit again soon!
