MAY and JUNE

It's a two month special!

at home

sloan doesn't care for baseball,
but for ruthie,
he'll pitch that ball all afternoon if she asks him to

i love to see our kids together. i mourn the age gap between them, but it probably means we won't have to endure as much sibling rivalry.

ribs!

The Outdoor Picture Show at the District. We went a couple times... free popcorn & carosel rides. But tons of cockroaches in the grass - noticed as we were leaving last time and haven't really wanted to go back

Sloan and some buddies started training for a marathon in April. This was the 18-mile training day. The kids & I met them half-way with the Gatorade.

Tyler's daughter Riley came to visit for a couple days- yay!

Ruthie had a few more soccer games - she was really getting into it by the end. She's so tall, I think she was intimidating to the other kids.

team ruthie

The other team was usually sweet to her. They'd let her in on their huddles and cheered when she scored.

Dad was so happy when she'd play hard and 'not give up'

The Krahenbuhls invited us to the BMX track in Boulder City...  Ruthie was barely out of the car when Brock's girls were teaching her to ride their bike!

Ruthie finally found some girls as wonderfully energetic and brave as her!  Brock kept joking that they were going to be a bad influence on her, but I think they were pretty well matched
that's right girls, a little more sugar

lastly, here's us at Mission Hills Park...

Mom's here to get us movin on our home improvement projects

fixing Ruthie's window seat and scrubbing the chalk-graffiti off the walls

Thursday night Motocross track with GVHS friends - this is Mike Stewart's daughter and Brock's girls

Brian Jones, Sam Earl, Mike Stewart, Heather, Brock, etc - what a party!

Sloan's parents were in town for a couple days. I took them on the Dam Tour.

The Circus!

Lovin on Papa

A friend introduced me to the Springs Preserve in June and I fell in love!  It's the perfect mix between museum and zoo in the heart of Vegas (right by the dental school) with great exhibits and interactive stuff for kids. This is Ruthie 'flying' in front of a green screen

Dive-in Movie Night at BLM

The Excalibur! I had fond memories of doing this with my family, and Ruthie's been dying to go to the big castle, so we made it a family date. She got to scooter down the strip and we played in the arcade. It was fun, but lets be serious.  The strip is gross! Not how I remember it. It would help to get the people to stop handing out the porno-cards on the corners (bc they litter the side-walks). But it's just not as kid-friendly as it used to be :(

Boulder Beach with Sloan's friends from school. We had a fun day - and thankfully my swimsuit bottoms didn't fall completely off when I was out tubing!  But close call!!

Could you be any more gorgeous? Seriously.

Way to go Sloan! Good luck with the marathon.
